Sam is an award-winning director and choreographer based in New York City. With over 15 years of professional leadership experience, he has developed an authentic love for thoughtful communication and a passion for upholding artistic integrity. Sam's varied background gives him a multifaceted understanding of every corner of the theatre industry. In his work, he aims to cultivate respectful processes, encourage artistic growth, and deliver high-quality work.

Sam’s directorial credits include: The Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre, Grandstreet Theatre, Princeton University, Seven Angels Theatre, and more. His choreography has been seen at the Geva Theatre Center, J2 Spotlight Musical Theatre (off-broadway), Little Theatre on the Square, Webster Conservatory, Temple University, Omaha Performing Arts, Step One Dance Company, and The Phoenix Theatre Company’s productions of Frozen, Mary Poppins (Zoni Award: Best Choreography), Billy Elliott (Broadway World Award: Best Choreography) Seussical, Chicago (Zoni Award: Best Choreography), Bullets Over Broadway, and Elf.
Recently, Sam served as the Interim Associate Artistic Director and Creative Consultant for the Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre for their 64th season. Previously, Sam also held the position of Senior Rehearsal Director for the Step One Dance Company - which brought world class company dance to Holland America Line's fleet of 11 cruise ships.​
